Seth Godin would call this The Dip and he filled a whole book about it. It is important to be able to differentiate between whether you are going through the dip or if it is really time to close shop and move on to another idea.

I enjoyed that book a lot - esp. since it was so small and fast to read
I couldn’t tell you 1 thing i remembered from it unfortunately, but I did remember feeling good afterwards…you know what, i might just re-read it now that i’m in “financial mode”.
